Kakwa

Hi everyone !! I was wondering is anybody going up the Kakwa at all on March 18 -19 weekend. never been that way yet , whats it like ?

It was pretty good last weekend. 2-3 feet deep on sunday after a good dumping saturday night. The trail is in decent shape, even the first six miles. Be aware it is a long trail ride in to the cabins at Kakwa lake (35 miles) so extra fuel is a good idea. Once you get to the lake there is many different areas to ride. Just ask some locals, (there is always someone at the cabins), which way to go. It is a huge riding area so be careful. Have fun if you end up going.

Which side are you coming in from? Mcbride side or Grande Prairie. IIRC the trail in from the McBride side is close to 60 miles to the cabin.
