We are thinking of heading out in the next couple of days. Any updates on the road in, snow/open water, and the ride in?

Kakwa was on my to do list for this winter. I haven't crossed it off yet. Maybe later this week? Reports would be appreciated.

Failing this, it's on my list to land my float plane on Kakwa lake this summer.:theCabin: :thumbsup2:

FYI, you can usually take what the weather station says and times it by 3 for actual snow depth in the back hills

Haha. From what the pictures show Jason even a 3 times the measured amount would still be hard to get to. No sense bending up all those parts this time of year. Looks promising though for early December though...maybe even late November. I know Bruce will be looking forward to pranging up that new Gen 4 he bought.

Went to the border today , needs snow bad. Couple buddies went right to the lake on Friday but said it was more work than fun. Snowed about 2 -3 inches Friday night at camp and was snowing like hell all day from the Torrens on. Was ok for a early trail ride, but still hitting bottom most places. A good honest 24 inches at the border sign and snowing hard.
