Like the title says. I just picked up a 12 m8 162 with 420 km on it, all stock. It looks like it just came out of the show room and I got what I believe to be a "Good deal" Only time will tell. It has had all of the updates done already and still has warranty until 2015. I've been reading about the clutching issues and already plan on putting on a TEAM Tied and probably swap in a 20t top gear and add some venting. Is there anything else I should be looking at before the season starts this winter? What are you guys running for clutch setups with the tied? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

I was also going to put a team tied on my 12 but instead im gonna try a 44/36 helix with a yellow/green spring and the 20t gear change. That is what mountian magic suggested. I love my proclimb, its leaps and bounds better than the M series. I bought mine with 397km had all the updates done and now it has 1600km of nothing but smiles. I blew one belt around 500km then i put the upgraded belt with kevlar and its goin strong.

Thanks. I'll look into the secondary clutch setup more. The only reason I was thinking of going with the tied is because a friend has a 13 belt eater and he has had his secondary actually come apart on the mountain. So bad, that he had to leave it there overnight and come back with the parts to fix it and get it out the next day.

Go with the tied. It's worth it due to better performance & cooler clutches. Have one on my M1100T, still on factory belt with 600 miles

seal it up, lots of spots snow can get in, there is a spot down by the front heat exchange. after they get sealed up and you do the necessary m ods (a-arms, re drill spindles for proper ski swing, a torque arm or white rade ttcf) then they are great, 700 miles on my 084 belt with lots of deep snow and hard pulls, i am going to gear mine down to the 19/50
