I've always rode sleds and mtn bikes growing up, now where I live the mountains are 12 hours of driving.

I currently own a race sled.. MXZ 600RS with 800etec dropped in, and a 16 Summit X T3.

In the summer I have a YZ250 and Maverick 1000 xxc, my plan was to maybe sell the Summit and pick up another dirt bike. I could keep my YZ for the track and get a ktm 450sxf as a trail bike in summer and snowbike in winter.

That's where I need help, what's a preferred bike? I was thinking ktm or husky for the larger clear tank. The yz450fx, crf450rx all have small tanks.

Ideally I'd like to get the new 300 2 stroke fuel injected but I'm worried the 300 would be too much shifting, a sled is perfect as a 2 stroke because it's cvt, I'm not sure how the 300 would do with a 129" track to spin.

Also what are guys running for track sizes? I would think the yeti 129 would be fine as I'd like it to be nimble and still feel like a dirt bike.
Thanks

Any MX 450 with a 120 kit will be the ultimate setup, especially up at the Mac. Snowbiking is a game of track speed, so less track = you got it.

YOu are still 2 years away from the FI 300xc making it here. And that will still take a little love to be a proper snowbike (head, pipe, sx ignition and porting)

YOu can buy larger tanks for any of the bikes. I have never run out with my mx tank and a full Yeti can on the back.

I run a Husky FC 350 and 450 big bore for the mx tranny. The Jap bikes work as well but are heavier. The KTM\Husky still has the best power plant IMO.
