I only skimmed through your thread since I didn't feel like reading all the bullchit that seems to follow you around. Got it?

For $20 you could've fixed your truck, you still with me skippy? Buy a choke cable and shut the truck off like an old tractor. Seems like the easiest and cheapest fix to me... But wait I'm slow.

except for the fact that its a manual and you can just put it in to overdrive (5th) and pop the clutch and stall it out. starting the truck is the problem.....the title of that thread was pretty clever I thought most would understand it pretty easily

Ok ill be nice here and try to help you out. I went back and read your thread. I don't see how a fuel shutoff solenoid solves a slow cranking issue. You can wire that lever open and stall the truck to get you by. You've got an issue on your starting circuit. Chances are its a cable with some major resistance or your starter is pooched. I turn wrenches for a living so I do have a decent idea of what I'm talking about here.

well the wiring everywhere on this truck is rotten and corroded. im thinking short circuits and just bad wiring was killing the batteries. I looked up how to change a fuel shut off solenoid on youtube and he said if your ignition wont shut the truck off than its probly the shut off solenoid. thanks

Against my better judgement I'm going to try and help.

You likely didn't the whole shutdown solenoid, yours is clearly missing the rubber boot. They rarely fail, it's usually just the boot, this is a common issue and any aftermarket diesel place can sell you one for $25.

They also sell the parts to fix the common starter issues. Near the bottom of the page he has pretty much everything you need to fix what sounds like your issue.

Please don't tell Harry I sent you.

so you come on here asking for help, then people try to help, and you're the expert who has already diagnosed it?

you need to go back on vacation

What are you going to college in Abby in September for? Are you staying on campus? Do you have a job waiting for you there?

So you quit your job a month before school starts and your broke with an effed up truck? Even if the boss is a crook wouldn't you stick around till you cant work anymore. Might be better chance at making money than sitting around broke with your thumb up ur azz. Victoria life musta really rubbed off on you lol

I trust God. (im not starting a religous war so dont make one out of this please) but God has shown me time and time again that when I try to do it without him it never works out, but if I put my hope in him everything falls into place somehow in the end! so I live worry free..... its great. trusting God has personally turned my life around, so I dont worry about money, work or anything. I came to alberta flat broke ans jobless living in a tent up in the hills, 2 days later I was working at 20 an hour. Im not worried

You sound like a good kid Joey. Stay in White Court,, get a job on a Rig,, fix your truck,, get a girl friend,,, buy a house.. have a kid ext. Do this & you'll have a good life and you will make God very happy. Do your plan and your gonna end up homeless on Hastings street addicted to crack and God will be very sad. Not trying to be mean,, just telling you the truth. Or go prove me wrong,,, you sound like a good kid. I hope it works out for you.
