so getting a few things going for work this year .....have few jobs left over from last year have done a lot of quotes for commercial but not much for residential ..... so put a add on kijiji looking for a couple of workers within 5 minutes have 5 email responses and two phone calls

wonder if ill have a 100 resumes to go through after tonight

I don't know your area, but I would say you should have at least 50 by tonight's end.

My company in edmonton put an add online for unskilled labourer,800 resumes in 6hours not all unskilled applicants either.

My boss recently put an ad up on Kijiji as well, looking for a journeyman heavy equipment tech. Within a day he had over 40 resumes. He found a guy and has hired him but the resumes keep coming in. I've lost count as to how many guys came in the door, resumes in hand looking for work. Its sad and scary out there right now guys, I feel extremely fortunate to have been called back after being laid off and have a job right now. I really hope that construction season alleviates some of the pain this province is feeling. Meanwhile our provincial government is doing sweet f*ck all to help the situation. Low oil prices or not, Notley and her goons haven't got a clue as to how to ease the fear of investment in Alberta let alone stimulate business...
