hello; i just purchased an 03 polaris 800 vertical escape and i'm not sure if i should install an altitude compensater or just change jets when i go riding in the mountains. i may go to the mountains once a yr. at the most. i would greatly appreciate any advise anyone would have. thankyou

....Myself, I would just go with rejet. GRD removed his on a 04. If machine is stock & U jet as per chart U should be fine..... I found one change for the hills prior to & take it easy on the btm.... They are fairly forgiving....JMO ! :):beer:

I have always just jetted my mods, 10 mins on the hill for the twin, a little longer for the triples and good to go. Not too hard.

Still have an altitude comp... It's not on the sled though!!!
