Dam cool when you run into your old boat.

Man these jet boats look fun. Looks like you can almost go anywhere with them. How much water do they need to run in?
Almost but there is no such thing as a do everything boat. Some excel at certain things while suck at others. Others do a little of all but never great at any. It all depends what your needs are and knowing that when you purchase.
Example my jet has a 14deg variable hall, in the shallows on step I can squeeze 6", no less or I'm in trouble and yes I have done it. The boat also weighs in at about 3,000lbs, not good if you ground it.
But on bigger water like white water (Fraser river in the canyon)it excels, the 14deg keeps the pump under the aeration of the river helping to keep the pump hooked in and keeping the lost of steering from happening.
The boat also for the last 10yrs has made a trip to Vancouver Island fishing the inner waters with no problems, though it is not a King Fisher or a Trophy it has suited our needs just fine.
So knowing your needs is key when looking. Some say it take about 3 boats before you figure it out LOL.
I'm on my second, my first was a Bayliner 24ft Trophy.

Gonna need the back story there, anchors got purple paint on it. Collision mid stream?

I got hung up on a gravel bar and was kinda floating down river. And he just kept coming was pretty narrow and basically drove over the front of my boat. He had a long time to shut it down. He was pretty new to river boating and was overwhelmed on the Braz.

Built a ford 557 for my boat and the shop that did it absolutely botched it. Ran great for 50 hours last summer this year it’s been out 3 times and now it’s locked up solid. Locked it up a month ago have not put the spare motor in yet. I have it booked in at a different shop for January.

Bought this 460 for the uprise manifolds That it had. Thankfully it runs good. Hopefully get it in this week to salvage my season.

Warman automotive rebuilders should be able to build you some solid big number horsepower
Worked with Kalvin and Richard years ago very fussy

I decided to go with a ThunderJet with the HHT. Installed a 6.2, reinforced the bottom and added UHMW.
