I have also come pretty close to sailing off the trail by the bridge but I was really cold and wanted to get back to the truck asap.

EPIC snow today!! Barry didn't take any pictures (forgot his camera), but Glengine should have some to post later. Barry arrived home with a BIG perma-grin on his face. -3 and still lightly snowing.

Anyone riding Renshaw on Wednesday, please be aware that the groomer is broke down at km 23.5 and may still be there when you go up in the morning.

It was deep all day long. Sometimes you got off the sled and sunk into chest deep pow and a ton of stuck's and 2 tree's for Glen. Was one of those days that will stick in your head and keep you coming back. Load up boys, it is deep.

Snowed a couple more inches in town last night = Even more snow up top. Still snowing and -1 this morning.

If you are headed up the Renshaw Trail today, remember that HotRod will be working on his broken down groomer at km 23.5

AVALANCHE RISK:

HIGH RISK ABOVE TREE LINE AND GETTING WORSE WITH ALL THE SNOW.
THERE ARE STILL TONS OF SAFE RIDING AREAS. DO NOT RIDE IN AREAS YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH.

MOST IMPORTANT - USE YOUR COMMON SENSE.
PROBABLY 85% OF SEARCH AND RESCUE CALLS ARE FOR EITHER NEWBIES OR PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN DRINKING TOO MUCH ON THE HILL AND GOTTEN STUPID.

Three of our McBride members on here are with Search and Rescue (Adrenaline, bbtoys and Steve). They would much rather go sledding for fun than to have to go out on a S&R call.

Be safe out there.

EXCELLENT.... LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE STEPPING DOWN INTO THE CABIN NOW... THAT IS GOOD!!!!:d

Yah i'd say it's about 2-3ft step to get down to the deck at the cabin.. Was so much fun.. And yah the cats was good and tough for me as had a bug old balsam tree jump out in front of me.. Hahaha.. There will be crazy DEEP snow this weekend as the snow isn't supposed to let up anytime soon.

Thanks for the updates,

If y'all don't mind, please try to follow each others tracks when riding up there, and avoid tracking it up too much, we wont be there till the 12th, and would like to have all the fresh powder for ourselves.

Thank you

What broke on the Groomer Barry?

One of the wheels that drive the track on the front, looks like a normal rubber tire broke all the stubs that hold it on.. One of the guys in our group doubled him out.. He was going to try and get all the parts he needed today..

Just checked the enviorment canada site, didn't see any heavy snowfall warning, just calling for light snow over the next week.
Good to see snow in the forecast though as it's needed, hoping it keeps coming. Glad to see you finally made it out on the hill Glen, looks like you got a good ride in.

Temp is hovering around Zero this morning and it's still snowing on all the mountains, with a bit more in town. Hopefully the temp won't get any higher and start melting the epic snow we have been getting. Visibility not that great right now up there, so be careful.

As of about 8:30 last night, HotRod was still working on his groomer, so keep that in mind if you are heading up the Renshaw trail today.
