hes got a wife and two kids. Money talks. But yes he is very invested in polaris and their race team would be a tough thing to do for him im sure. But i cant envision skidoo investing enough to make him even consider it. They dont put near as much into this stuff as polaris.

If youre buying a skidoo mountain sled, its probably not because of how well they do at jackson hole.

Doesnt factor into anyones buying decisions that i know.

typical response from a doo cheerleader...thanks

doubt that the guys that buy Cat and Polaris don't use Jackson Hole results either but thanks for sticking up for your brand.

overall summary of the weekend;

Doo G5 chassis - there was lots of "rah-rah" before the race.....but....not much "rah-rah" at the top of the hill.
Doo had the largest number of entries but few results - - entry/win ratio - - POOR!
Doo gets the win in cheerleading - they are loud and proud of their brand - even if the end results are..... meh.
final overall mark - - 3/10 (but they get the cheerleading trophy)

Polaris chassis - not much "hoop-la" before the race ..... but....a whole lot of partying at the top!
Polaris had a moderate number of entries and overall had great results - - entry/win ratio - - VERY GOOD!
Polaris riders are not cheerleaders. Polaris is cautiously hoping they have a winner in their new chassis - its there!
final overall mark - 8/10

Cat Catalyst chassis - again, low key - not much hoopla before the race....but ..... the few riders who entered did very well.
Cat had the fewest number of entries - like 5...lol... - but those 5 guys performed well - entry/win ratio - WINNER
Arctic Cat riders are low key - they know what they got - they know there is more to come - they know the new chassis performs in all terrain
final overall mark - 5/10

there it is....now lets hear from the cheerleaders!

there isnt anything coming from cat. LOL. they are 2 motors, 3 turbo seasons and 2 chassis behind. It would have to be 200hp, 400lbs and 12,000$ before anyone's buying a cat again.

Caper11, I looked into the entries for the 16 classes that run Sunday for you, was kinda curious myself as there were a lot of Doo’s coming out of the chute. Here’s a count of the Friday and Saturday competitors.
130 Doo entries
56 cat entries
and a dominating 149 Polaris entries.
Doo was well represented

This did not include the ladies or junior runs. Doo looked to be the ladies brand of choice🙄

something else Polaris does well is they are really well represented in the 700 class

good one Maxxy - instead of focusing on why doo did poorly, you bash the others.....you are Doo's bestest cheerleader ever!!

It’s all about bragging rights and that’s fair if you love your brand in my opinion. Skidoo dominates snocross but 99.9 % of people don’t ride their ditch banger like the pros do. Polaris dominates hill climb even though that type of climbing is nothing like what 99% of the members on this forum can even do. Even Max probably would never make it over JH on a Sunday and if he did it may be measured in hours instead of minutes.😂 Skidoo has always done well in ice ovals as has Polaris but most people would be lapped on a competitive sled in only 1 lap racing against the best. I know of only 3 members that have ever raced competitively on the site in that discipline. Maybe snowmobile drag racing is the only discipline where all of us have some history with. Polaris has a lot of really good riders right now in the hill climb circuits. They do well and they deserve the accolades.

Fixed it for you. Gotta admit i have no desire to ride my sled on an icy ski run.

turcotte ran over two of them
Turcotte was doing pretty good for time up to the yard sale…. Kieth hit gate 20/21 at around 54-56 seconds every run, Turcotte was there at 57 and then came the wreck… most other competitors hit there at 59-65 seconds. Interesting point, the majority of the Poo’s hit gate 4-5 ( first corner) at 17-18 seconds, AC was 18-19 and Doo was consistently 19-20 second.

Doo boys need a bigger whip coming off the podium.

I'm just wondering how they keep all those patriot engines running without NGK being a platinum sponsor. :dunno:

Other than what appeared to be a quckdrive belt pop off at the starting line i didnt see any other sled failures throughout the weekend from any brand. Which is impressive
