BRP put measures in place??? really??? like what???? Maxwell, have you been hangin with ol one eye.... enjoying some BC bud????

2013 Pro is falling apart??? I better run out to the shop and check.... the pos looked good when parked it in there.... maybe some folks are turning the heat to high in there garages and melting the glue!!!! lol

To name one. Ckmp. Brp puts 20+ proto types in the hands of thousands of test riders every season to beat them up and catch issues before production.

Ok ill name two.

Skidoo demo tour. Travels across all of USA and Canada and once again allows regular joes to test drive the new sleds. Most of these machines finish with near 10,000km as they run almost every day.

I'm unaware of anything remotely similar Polaris has To offer. In fact if one wanted to test drive a new pro rmk locally around here it's not even physically possible.

Poo claims the same crap.. you wouldn't know cause of your doo blinders.... It's pretty easy to go on a poo or doo demo ride each and every spring!!! same chit... My dealer (you know the one that whores out sled parts) usually has a new demo sled for interested people to try as well!

I keep reading about the 08 XP800 and all the problems, BUT...Never seen it.......At least with the Polaris there there are pictures of all the crappy engineering and broken shafts to validate the lack of Craftsmenship, not just rumoring about the poor 08 XP. Need something tangible people, not just rumors. .......

I rode with a guy in Fernie on Feb 7/8 of 2009 in 4 ft of new snow and in 2 days he went through 4 belts. He carried the pieces in plastic bags and would take them back to the dealer on monday after each weekend he rode, and they would give him new belts under warranty. The "mythical" issues that you talk about did actually happen to some people and there is plenty of tangible proof, search the web, hell Doo even issued a tech bulletin about the driveshafts. Just like the driveshafts on the new Pros? LMAO - 5 yrs later and we are back to square one..... Just because they don't happen to everyone or you didn't see a picture doesnt mean they didnt wreck a lot of weekends for others. The 08's had hand warmer issues due to shorting out on the bars because of lack of insulation, some driveshafts breaking, and some issues with blowing belts (whether it was the belts or the alignments we will never know.... LOL).

What good is a demo ride only in the spring? I want to ride one in the deep snow in the middle of the winter. Doo runs their demo's from Jan on through till spring or when the riding runs out or they run out of interested people on multiple machines that all you gotta do is show up in the parking lot and ride. Doesn't get much easier. I already got invited and booked to ride the '14 in the area of my choosing which there were plenty of spots available and the day I wanted as well and it's for a half day along with 6 other people.

I also just booked my Pro RMK demo interest online. We will see what the dealer has to offer me and how easy and available it is to demo a Polaris sled. I doubt it will be near as easy to get the day and location I want.

First opportunity I had or heard about last spring to demo the new XM was in late March/early April.. I would think mostly do to, I don't ride BRP, therefore I am not in Doo shops or surfing Doo forums.... I'm not totally brand loyal... I just have never liked DOO!! Now (IMHO for what it's worth) I doo think you doo-laid drinkers finally have something to harp about... the XM is impressive, very easy to ride and predict. Not sure about the "flickable" though!!! lol

There was this guy that knew this guy that second cousin once removed uncle's brother's son that once heard while at band camp that...

Good attempt but I feel no need to validate that a certain sled is crap. I know that they are all crap and have a short half life. This is so the dealers can keep dealing and the parts counter can keep overcharging. The sled game is no different than the crappy vehicles that are on the roads today...unless its a CHEVY!!!

Snow Trax made a poor decision on the best mountain sled of the year....maybe?? who cares?? I didnt base my purchase off a magazine anyways, i rode Cat, Polaris and Doo prior to my decision. I chose Polaris. What i should have done is come on this forum and ask the unbiased Doo riders what to ride this season.LMAO The truth is countless times i seen the pro out shine the Doo in all types of mountain riding and vise versa, is it rider experience or mods in those situations? maybe.. but whats that say for the doo riders? you doo guys claim to have this massive advantage over this flat land prairie machine. The truth is wether you doo guys like it or not the pro is a great contender and im ok riding the second or third best mountian machine according to some magazines, the pro works best for me. Did Polaris mess up with the 13s? yes they did but not enough to stop me from buying another pro. For some Polaris owners this year was a expensive one but most Polaris owners bought the new pro knowing that the DOO does exist. <--I know hard to believe??

I have rode the new xm its an amazing machine should it be claimed the best mountain machine of the year? sure.. The only thing i can say bad about doo is the owners..well.. actually maybe a hand full of owners and you know who you are and most in good fun.. all brands have them but on this forum they really stand out. Brand bashing... love it, makes a good read but some are so closed minded... and some are still stuck in 1995 no need to mention names lmao.

When I say DOO riders in this post im really directing it at a few.. I hope all sled magazines make there top mountain sled the doo.. you guys have been demanding it forever haha and this time you can actually believe ur own crap for once j/k

Wow I must be an idiot for reading this whole thing!!!
lol...me too. read all this and the old '08 'doo shaft thread modman linked...good times.

I keep reading about the 08 XP800 and all the problems, BUT...Never seen it. I have mine, love it, no problems ever and now have freshened it with the RK Tek top end, reeds, can, clutch etc. Still no problems. At least with the Polaris there there are pictures of all the crappy engineering and broken shafts to validate the lack of Craftsmenship, not just rumoring about the poor 08 XP. Need something tangible people, not just rumors. BTW, I love sledding and would ride any flavor as I doO have one from each stable, but love to keep the banter active. Cheers.
I was one of the test dummies in '08, along with 4 of my buds. there were plenty of problems, belts, handwarmers, shorting wires, choked off intakes, frayed and broken pull cords, but we never had a driveshaft let go....lol.

Hmmnnnn I guess you don't spend alot of time in this part of the forum as I first heard about it in Dec/Jan I believe in the Snowmobile chat section here, not at a doo dealer, or a doo site or section. That said, I've NEVER seen an ad to test ride a Poo in recent years unless you go to their website.
To be honest, I'm not a Doo-laid drinker.
I was buying a Pro this year until I heard the rave reviews across the board from almost everyone that demo'd an XM. Did some research and test rode my buddies '12 Pro and made my decision based on that. I wasn't impressed by it and took a chance on the Doo. No regrets-although I will say I haven't ridden a '13 yet but now hearing about the serious issues they have been having glad I didn't go that route. Also just to irriterate that I'm not biased, I didn't like any of the Doo's much before this even though I was riding an '04 Rev.

Bottom line if SnowTraxx demo'd a '13 Pro and a '13 XM and went with the pro they need to give their head a shake IMO just based on reliability and issues alone.

I think snowtech compared these two sleds in their last issue as well. Not sure if they give the winner but they sure liked skidoo

Those 2 idiots in that mag that judge the sleds, have no idea what they are talking about. They always pick different sleds, One picks doo, the other picks poo, then next time it's cat and poo, then doo and cat, then....the combinations are large. Then in the end, they just start all over again, next season by pulling a name out of a bucket.. They never say anything that would hurt their SHponsership.... Oh heaven forbid. Just wait, they will next year make Yamaha the best mountain rig.
