I heard you travel further distances when you do deploy your bag. That further distance could mean going over a cliff or someplace you don't want to be

The slide I was in deployed the bag half way down and ended up near the toe of slide when everything stopped.April 12/2008 30km west of Columbia Icefield.

Yes went east from lodge,some BIG COUNTRY there.Got to see about 15 acres fracture beneath me and resembled cottage cheese.That didn’t last long as I hit a 3’ staucwall full throttle few seconds after deployment and was unconscious for the rest of the ride.
