Island Lake trails?

Sounds good! ...no worries dude, we're ususally pretty tame on the co-ed trips which suits me just fine since you actually get to see a bit more of the scenery that way.

Just past the Island Lake store turn left on the gravel road, head to the end of the road and turn right, then take your next left and follow that road all the way back. Your now in trail country and its only about 5-8 miles from your doorstep.

Dale, does this look right?

Well... My lake lot is just up the road from there if you guys wanna meet me there and unload... Unless your panning on just unloading on the road..

There is a very large trail system that follows the river up by smith / hondo about 50km north of island lake. Call the tourist information from slave lake they had maps of that area.

You got it, the cattle gate is still there or it was last year along with one little swamp to cross and your high and dry all the way back to the trappers cabin (from what I hear he had an accident cutting down a tree and was pinned for a day or two some riders found him he's in a wheel chair now).

I also heard that two of the big beaver dam's on the September Lake Road let go so it's opened up the back area again.

You can quad right from Island Lake to Smith if it's not a wet year....

Well, we found a TON of Muskeg out there... Thanks to the riders that let me tag along out there.. had a blast and look forward to doing it again!

So... I hear there's a couple trappers cabins up in that area... We found one last time... What are the odds anyone knows where th other is?? I'm hoping to make a push for it and see if I can locate them... any suggestions?
