It has been known for years that predation is the prime reason for caribou decline, but can you imagine the greenies advocating for predator controls? All the studies have shown the largest mortality rate is in the spring when the caribou are calving, but you can't use science to defeat the ever believable news media.

It certainly can’t be heli ski operations. A mountain we have been shut out of because of caribou is now being used for help ski operations exclusively. I sat and watched 2 212’s on Sunday do ski circuits all day up there. Those 212’s are friggin loud but must not affect the caribou at all. Skiers must have the money to hire lobbyists cause they seem to control the back country

The videos of caribou and other wildlife running away terrified by the overhead chopper are never shown to the general public. Heli skiers are so cool and are so much more environmentally sensitive than us terrible sledders.

Heres 4 littles buggers I rolled up on at the top of a small pull on Saturday. Popped over the top and they were just walking slowly. I shut my sled off and snapped the picture. I was about 75yards away. They couldn’t have cared less about me. This is in our permitted area so now I have reported it to the bioligist we deal with and have imposed a voluntary closure on our permit. This is the game we play with these animals but if we don’t we will lose it all.
