Funny you should start this thread. Just the other day I got an email from a guy saying he had the my password and was going to share my info. He was going to show everyone the websites I visit if I don’t pay him in bit coins. I don’t care if people know I go on Kijiji and that’s about it. But it was the password of my snow and mud account.

Well that's scary, but it's a good lesson to all. ...never reuse a password!

The site software is scanned regularly for any exploits, we keep this up to date and the sever its secure. However firefox and other browsers store your passwords and cookies in a folder, if that folder is accessed by malware this could exploit some of your information quite easily. I would recommend running something like Malwarebytes anti malware on a regular basis to prevent any situations from arising. Our software and server is scanned once a day in the middle of the night.

I do test the site with several up to date browsers as well on a regular basis. And if an exploit is found google immidialty removes you from there search engine.

I already paid that guy off, guess I didn't give him enough to go away, JK.....

Had this happen on my work email. Not even a password I use. By the time I noticed the email in my junk folder, the time had passed. No one came to ridicule me on the obscene sites I was visiting.
