It is an X based on the gauges and shocks. It also hasn't had some updates done if you are still able to recall your top RPM. The dealers made some changes to what you see on the gauges, and this was removed. I would take it in to see what other recalls haven't been done yet, just to be safe.

Yea that's another thing I was going to ask about, It has had the updated drive shaft, and also had the clutch update but has not had the firmware update. Is it really needed? what changes are made to the new firmware?

thanks again

It sure looks like an X. That was the one of the color combinations for the X in 2008. Also as everyone else said the shocks and gauge. Also the steel braided brake line was an X option. Looking at the display it also has the water temp module on it which I think is extra, I know it was on my 2008 Everest.

There have been a couple of different firmware updates. The major one is one that changes the sensitivity of the knock which was a problem in the past. But as Sleeper said one of the updates changes some of the modes in the gauge as well.

Juicy, your new sled is an "X" model. I have the same sled, but as noted by others it may not have had all of the up grades done to it. I lost my top RPM option from my gauge cluster. That sucked.

On my X model it would zero out the trip meter, i think they had issues on the clusters but i dont think a recall was done, not sure? That looks like a X model check with a dealer on the serial number.

The trip meter issue was related to the magnetic buttons on the gauges. They were supposed to replace them in one of the recalls if I remember right.

My magnets were replaced and the trip meter still resets at random. Always when you start it. Still haven't narrowed it down to something I'm doing to cause it. Does anyone have anyone have any more background info on this?

Grey a-arms and color scheme says it an o8
Adjustable shocks, low profile windshield, no holes in console plastic (holes are in everests to fit larger windshield) and digital gauge package all say it an X model.
cat't see the brake line but should be a steel braided.
Also if you'd like I have a bunch of tips and mods that the 08's really need to make them perform as best as possible for mountain riding
