Yup.. Me too. And prepping the sled for summer. Better charge up the boat batteries. The Atha B is open.but not enough water for me yet. In Hinton anyway.

Been stuck at work for a extra week So The Boat build is going slower than I was thinking. I hired a guy this week to help and get the build where it needs to be. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll get the uhmw on for this season.....

I did get my washer stamp and drill bit made to weld the uhmw on. The drill bit needs some fine tuning yet.

Make sure you test on a scrap chunk of uhmw first. That stuff is nothing like wood to drill or work with. Even a countersink bit will grab and pull right through the sheet before you blink.

Neil is right. If you can put a stop (collar) on the drill bit, you’ll be golden. UHMW grabs like crazy.
