I'm ready to pull the pin on confederation. What more could Trudeau do to lose the election. It astounds me that this country can't do better.

I'm all for leaving this political wasteland, however you will never get the lower mainland to see it your way. BC wouldn't leave this leaving the oil land locked again. Even if the Americans want to buy the land is that where you really want to be? Then the native issue. Say you can get BC to leave nothing happens here with out their say so I really don't see how leaving is going to be the answer. Perhaps we need more electoral reform in the way of better equal representation, or maybe some kind of 3 representation deal, one from the east, one from the west and a overall chief. Not sure of the exact answer but I'm also not convinced that leaving is the right way to go about it

Agreed. I’m all for separation, but It would be very costly and take a long time for a full separation. We wouldn’t see it in our lifetime due to the complexity. Deciding on a new government system, electing officials, creating a currency and getting it recognized by the world bank and establishing its value, dividing up the regions in the new country, trying to get all the greedy politicians in the current governments to all fall in line. It would be a nightmare.

I think an extensive reform of our current system is the best route. But that takes the leaders of the western provinces to join and stand up to the east and tell them to go fork themselves, we want our votes to carry more weight-something that will never happen in BC unless Trevor Bolin gets elected.

Presently the federal govt can go forward with developement of any kind in the best interest of Canada.
We just have a pussy in charge that won't.
Staying in confederation has not worked for the last 114 years.
It is time to leave and if it is without BC there are other options.
BC would also become seperate from the rest of Canada especially if the Yukon Territory joined, they should choose wisely.

And it will never work for Alberta no matter who is in power because they have to suck-hole to Quebec and Ontario because of the number of votes they have.
I am really surprised the newfies voted Libtard. I guess they don't want to work at Ft. Mac anymore.

Now you will see the UN compact for migration kick in, millions of new votes for the liberals. Skyrocketing debt and massive tax increases, on our way to transforming our country. Sooner than later would be the time to separate. Who would have ever thought i would even consider USA a better place to live than Canada..times change.

I believe it is time to separate for sure. Whether we join the US or form an independent nation it has to be done. Maybe we could build a wall around Alberta to keep the foreigners out.
By the way your user name may be quite prophetic.

Yea B.C would never separate and why would you want them tree huggers anyway? NWT and/or Manitoba is a much better bet. Separation is very unlikely, needs to go more the way of Quebec in doing things how we want instead. I think trudeau wants to stay in power more then he cares about actually doing anything, and will go whatever way he has to to get things done.

Not a chance. His ego with phuck this up sooner than later. There is no way he will cooperate with anyone! He will continue on as if he has a majority and the Bloc will put him in his place.
