A thread for the Iron Horse Trail for everyone to check on conditions or get trail pass/Club info for the 2010/2011 season.

I thought this may alleviate a bunch of different threads started looking for trail conditions or club info

If there has already been one started...than I deserve a kick in the shin. If not maybe some club members associated with the IHT can give some updates and announcements for rallies/trips/trail grooming, etc.

Have a great season.

Barely enough snow to cover the trail base around St. Paul & no compaction yet.
Cold Lake area has a bit more, but would still not call it a quality ride.
Ice is getting reasonable, but only go there with extreme care.

we're all -doo'in the snow dance tho.......Bring It ON!

St. Paul Rally plans firmed up for Feb 20...great ride, good food. Same weekend as Myrnam and Elk Point events.

IHT today; Wednesday night; we got a good 6 inches plus today here in St.Paul and she's starting to blow around; so the IHT should be good to go for all areas and very drifted up and should be good riding.
I won't be grooming yet for a while till we get a good base but the Groomer/Drag are sitting here Preformance Motorsports and ready to go.
I'll try to keep updating the IHT conditions the best I can...

Lots of good snow in Bonnyville and Cold lake and still snowing @09:10 tonight.

Saw folks riding the IHT and lots of tracks in the ditches. Enough snow to keep sliders lubed and lots of cooling.

Two fellows I saw tonight were riding long tracks and were having a blast.

Yes, very good snow in last 24 hours on top of the 4 to 6" of fluff that we had before.

Best pre-Christmas snow in several years: St. Paul to Heinsberg and also to Cold Lake. I believe snow towards Smoky Lake was also similar.

Sledding Season in the Lakeland has officially begun!

Ride Safe.

Rode from Waskatenau today to St Paul....The best area was from Smoky Lake to St Paul. Waskatenau to Smoky was a little skinny....

Just to update everyone on the snow conditions in the St.Paul area...the Iron Horse Trail now has the best conditions we've had in years!! With the last snowfall coming at the end of last week, we now have a great base and some fresh stuff on top. The Groomer should be out in full force over the next week or two and trails will be ready to RIDE!!! And remember to get your tickets for the St.Paul Trailblazers Snowmobile Rally... only 200 sold!!

See you on the Trail!!

Any Questions... Trailblazers@hotmail.ca

Thanks
