Just noticed this geek thread lol so i figured if anyone is in need, i own a repair shop in Drayton Valley. Ive been in the business for 4yrs. So If you're looking for experience and want to talk to someone who actually knows what they are talking about and has fixed thousands of phones, feel free to contact me. There isn't much I wouldn't be able to help you with.

You can check my website at - I stock a ton of parts for most models, custom colors for iphone 4's and hundreds of cases. All repairs generally done within 30 minutes. Water damage as well with a 75% Success rate on fixing them.

- Ever get sick of your Carrier/provider? If you have a blackberry or Iphone, unlock it as you would if you were going to use it overseas. Easily do this from your home on my unlocking website. TopUnlocker.com | Unlock BlackBerry, iPhone & Android mobile phones . For iPhone's, this is a FACTORY unlock (and does not void warranty). Not a jailbreak. Once unlocked it will be unlocked forever and actually increase the sale value of the phone. Blackberries will be unlocked forever also. As well as make it easier to sell since all carriers can be used on it.

If anyone has any questions you can message me on here, or email me at the following :

Office hours are 11-6 week days.

Hope to hear from you

Can you please tell me the model number thats under the battery? They are very expensive to fix unfortunately. Androids are the worse. Once you get me the model number i can give you an accurate quote :) It should start with something like SGH-

It is the SGH989D.
I got a quote from YourMobile... That was fairly pricy. I gave up on fixing it though and got a new phone just figured if I could fix it up I'd be able to turn it around and sell it...

what about iphone5 screens?? :)

steve you didnt break it already did you!? lol those babies are retarded to fix right now. like $350. And snow angel, yes they are the most expensive to fix. buying the screens are retarded. its almost cheaper for me to buy them second hand and take the screen out of them than it is to buy new screens. I always tell everyone, for androids only that they should have the device protection. Because the supply of screens is so low, and demand is higher, the prices to repair them is a lot. Hope that makes sense to you :)

Tex, its sweet that you are capable to do so, but remember its not so easy for the general public. But besides that, you are talking about a completely different phone and screen price. There are also two types of repairs, replacing just the touch screen which is messy and leaves room for dust particles to get in over time, and a complete lcd/touch replacement where they come sealed from factory. a much cleaner, higher quality repair. There are a lot of things to be aware of. The cost of her galaxy screen is about 3 times the cost of yours.

Its hard to say really.. But if i had to make an experience guess it is simply supply, demand, and screen quality. Being that samsung
is an industry leader in screens with phones and televisions i think the price reflects that as well. Honestly, its extremely frustrating having to explain to every
customer im not trying to gouge them on the price. I actually make probably 1/3rd the profit on the android screens. I only do them to offer a service, and alternative to replacing an entire $600 phone. Something to look into before you buy a phone for sure to help you choose to go with the device insurance or not. :) hope that helps for your next purchase! Feel free to call me before you buy!
