But with the previous update, the iPhone got pull down notifications.

Oh wait. My HTC has had that for the past three years.

Oh, and with the iPhones newest update, you can push a button, speak into the phone, and it converts it into text.

Silly me. I forgot. HTC has had that for at least three years.

Wait.... You have a 4" screen? That's huge! Mines a measly 4.3".

I agree with SavageCanuck. I don't see what all the hype is about. There are a lot more phones out there, that are leaps and bounds ahead of the iPhone.

The simplicity of an iPhone. Androids confuse me, and I'm young. Want proof? App Store vs google apps.

A few day's before the US release date good morning america gave a dozen I-5's out to I-4 owners and asked for a review. after they went on and on about how they were SOOOO much better & faster it was compared to the I-4 they were told they had an I-4 all along, not the 5. im guessin more than a few of them still got in line for the 5... brand loyalty at it's finest

The phone yes in my opinion is really no different other than size an shape compared to even a iPhone 3GS, I just got it instead of the 4s being its newer and it worked out that it came out when I eligible for an upgrade. Reason I got it over a galaxy s3 is an android blog did a drop test between the 5 and the s3 and the s3 failed. Never knew much about the htc, shows how good their marketing is.

I think Apple makes a nice product. However, while the device itself is not as nice and featureful as some of the Android options out there, it OS is slightly more polished and bug free.

I certainly won't be buying any Apply prducts since I don't appreciate all the deliberate measures Apple takes to deter developers from writing apps that can work for both Android and Ios. Also, even though I was initially impressed by Apple's initiative to move to Linux based operating systems, I am now extremely dissapointed that they took an open source product, made it their own, locked it down, and did not contribute back to the open source community. Conversely, Google has kept their Linux based Android open source which I find extremely commendable since it puts a big player behind the initiative to provide free, viable alternatives to Microsoft and Apple operating systems.

Even the fact that they are stealing significant market share from Microsoft is not enough to weaken my recent distaste for Apple since their molopolistic practices have become even worse than Microsoft's. Even worse yet, Apple is patenting the hell out of all thier little design details, many of which are now considered standards in modible computing worldwide and were not even their ideas to begin with. How does one create a modern mobile phone or tablet without it closely resembling every other device out there? They're even suing over standard gestures like zoom and have even sunk the the level of suing a Polish grocery store for registering the domain name "A.pl".

While I'm sure Apple is well within it's right (legally and morally) to sue for some design concepts, they are obviously trying to unfairly monopolize the market. Who suffers? We do! So for now, I give Apple a big finger. ...I say "for now" since they may soon try to patent that gesture too.
