insurance for stolen gear

All my sled gear gone today out of back seat of truck,can u claim that on house insurace.probably 1500-1800$ worth.

That would most likely fall under your homeowners or renters policy less your deductible. If your insurance is the same writer for both the company may respond with only one deductible being your automotive, well if you had a automobile claim for broken glass or a damaged door.

Homeowners may not cover contents, check it out. When my stuff was stolen contents were not covered

Depending on your insurance deductible, it may not be worth it to make the claim. That would be the deciding factor for me.

Your Homeowners or Tenants policy will cover your gear, subject to the policy deductible.
If your truack was damaged in the same incident and you have the same carrier as Contents, one deductible will apply, but it would be the higher of the two. ie; Comp auto w/250 deductible and $1G on the Homeowners, both covered as one incident if same insurer, $1G deductible applies

It's been a day now Check the pawn shop down town. Probably pay a 1/3 of new cost for it now...sorry
