Insurance Costs on One Ton Diesels

I'm around the $2400 for a 21 ram 3500 in BC. Which is less than half of what my acreage insurance is. Acreage insurance was $2500 when we bought the place 10 years ago, no claims no major upgrades. This year $5800, the insurer said it because it's high risk since we had a wildfire less than 10km from the property.

Just opened my renewal 10 seconds ago. . 2022 King Ranch ultimate. Clean driving record. Insured under the business. $3617 renewal rate. WTF. Over $1000 increase.

2024 Ford Platinum and yes the insurance on them sucks. My initial quotes were right around there but they even wanted a 3-4k deductible. Scam. Have access to group insurance through work and down to $1100/yr. Thank goodness.

Cause what i meant was i wouldnt want to be writing the checks. Ripping.people off at an office for comission could be ok maybe if youre into that.

Another thing with insurance I learned Two minor infractions and intact and a few other writers are refusing full coverageinsurance. They will only sell you liability if you have two small tickets. That’s standard policy for all new policies and it will become standard for all existing policies soon.

Crazy rates. I got my broker shopping around. SGI. $3640.
Said he had one come in today around three grand. It’s commercial insurance for a garage queen. I insured it basically as an Office car. All my Painting stuff goes in my other truck.
I could beat the system and change my main address to my Lake lot. Out of town saves quite a bit. Hopefully I don’t have to go that crazy lol

Was with intact up until last year, they raised my rates $1100 a year total for both our vehicles, no tickets, clean abstract. Phucking crooks is all insurance is. Just bought the wife a new Jeep Grand Cherokee overland, it’s $2084 a year

Weird my insurance rating is as high as it can go, I drive less than 5km each way each day to work….. and intact cranked my rates from $1400 to $2000 per year, that was about 16 months ago, that’s why I switched….. weird stuff the insurance scam racket, maybe it’s because I have a loan on it, about 10 months left. My mom moved to Edmonton from Whitecourt about 8 years ago and her insurance went up about $700 a year back then. She moved back to a small town and it dropped almost $800

Holy crap, do some of you have moving infraction’s or points deducted off your license, crazy high rates.

1400/year for my 2021 GMC Denali 3500
1650/year for my 2023 Jeep GC summit reserve. Full coverage including glass.

Broker just came back at me. $ 2900 and change. Includes my and Sled Deck lights pull out tray, etc.. still crazy high, but I’m not shopping at my business and everything is with this guy. I have to Keep in mind this is commercial insurance. Even though I don’t haul work supplies with it.
