Came home from work the other day to the lovely sight of my back door kicked in.FAWK! Now in the process of going through a claim for the stuff that was stolen. Is it normal for the insurance company to want all the cereal numbers for all your electronics, receipts and pics for all of them? Or is that a scare tactic they have. I have some of the model numbers through simple search online, but cereal is tough(even going through and getting Apple to try they couldn't for my old phones)
i know I'm gonna get screwed in the end, just looking for ways to minimize it. Thanks

They can ask but if you cannot provide original receipts etc, they still have to pay. You just need to prepare the list of stolen items and their value. I assume you will need to give a list to the police as well.

Call who ever your phone service provider is give them the story they will have serial numbers. If any of your devices are on iTunes or the cloud I'm sure they are traceable that way as well
