I just got a new L.E.D tail light for my 04 rev from SLP. It mounts on the rear of the sled but with my sled the snow flap curls up over top of the rear of the tunnel so there is no place to mount it except to the snow flap. Has anyone else had this issue and what was the fix for this.
Thanks

i ran into this same problem when deciding what to do for a tail light. thats why i steered away from the small led light and went with something that had a housing. in my case it was the stock taillight off a xp, works pretty good if you can get your hands on one, looks like it came that way from factory. IMO

bought a led tail light that is 3 inchs long,is sealed light, mounted it on back of 06 rev seat plastic, works great, ran wiring under seat and used existing wiring harness, looks cool, up out of way and with stk gerry can you can see light through handle area, also iluminates red gerry can.this sealed led i bought from camrose years ago, not sure where.put small hole in back seat plastic, ran wiring through and under seat to stk wiring harness.took off rear stk gay tail light, really if your out frt why even worry about a rear brake light lol.

Well after alot of good input I finally got around to doing my tail light the way I had invisioned in the start. I will ad pics in order of install. The light is from SLP. I bought some aluminum angle and mounted the light to it and trimmed back the snow flap a bit to accomodate the mounting process. I used rivets to mount the light and drilled a hole down for the wires. On the other end I ran the wires throught the chanel it ran through original and before it poped out of the end I drilled a hole so the wire could go downwards. I then located the rear bumper from down below and drilled into it and ran the wiring down the bump to a second hole I drilled and connected the wires and used lume and gromets to mount the wires secure.

I hope that this help[s someone out.

Thanks

Looks good. Is that a tail and brake light combo? If so, what is the p/n?

Part Number!

Didn't see any rum bottles or 'red cups' in these pictures. What the hell?

This light is part number 32-312 in the SLP 2010 Catalog.

Cool thanks.

Does it need any special resistors or anything to keep the brake light in the instrument cluster from coming on?

I found the aluminum bracket for that other LED light. Does the dash light stay on? You didn't answer that one.

Put an LED right in the mud flap. bought it from Lordco. It is made for under a car flexible. Clean and looks good.

Well I ordered my new SLP light from Mountain Mod today and hopefully it will be in next week sometime. They sell a sweet carbon fibre cover for it as well but only for the XP's.
