I am a first time buyer in the market for an enclosed trailer. I have found a great price on a new 8x16 ($6000) OTD . I am wondering a couple things here first off i know my sled is said to be 38 inches ski to ski i havent actually measured it but will when i get home from work. anyone have one this size? im wondering how well two sleds will fit I noticed almost all enclosed designated sled trailers are 8.5 wide. also if one day I decide to put a heater in it is this an easy task? is it just a propane heater running off a 12v supply from the truck? also will it need to be insulated? any help is appreciated thanks.

i wouldnt say its an easy task.....wiring,plubing, finding a undermount propane tank, purchasing the heater. if at all possible i would reccomend buying one with the heater already installed as its cheaper and easier from the factory. and yes you will need to have the walls and roof insulated, and the floor isnt required but sure helps when insulated! make sure it has or that you install LED lights.

I have a 8x16 and can get three sleds in. It is a pita as the third has to be backed in but works. With two sleds you can stagger them easily. They will fit side by side but with that length it is easier to stagger them.

try and get an all aluminum trailer, they cost more but hold value better and will last longer than steel frame/aluminum body.

I have a Drift Trailer from Look, so I have been told. My wife called me at work yesterday and said she traded in the open trailer for this one. 8.5 by 12 holds two 2013 summits 154" sleds.

May I suggest for the sliders or gator gaurds if you wish to color coordinate.
