im cutting the track on my nytro down 1/2" to see if it will hook up any better than it does now.just wondering if anybody else has done it or am i the only one dumb enough to do so. The track is a piece of junk anyway.I was going to try spinning it around but i think it would just fold the other way.

let me know how this goes... as I am of the same opinion of the Nytro track... I was thinking of going to a different track attack 20 or something like that... I also thought of turning it around to see if it would scoop snow better...

My buddies rev way outclimbs me... I know get a turbo... thats what everyone says but I believe that with a better track I could probably go higher and not have to spend 4 -8 g's...

just my 2 cents ... but please keep me informed of what you are doing on this issue...

i run an attack 20 track on my cat. last year i felt like i wasnt hooking up very well so i turned it around so the scoops are actually scooping the snow now. the biggest thing i noticed was that i now shoot a ten foot roostertail and the snow is hitting my flap so hard it is actually putting a tear in it!! in the deep snow im find i am trenching pretty bad. i didnt notice a huge difference in hooking up with the snow... but coming down a hill it acts like a tobaggan!!! i dont slow down at all!! so i have to take it slow if there are obsticles in the way. also on the trail up and down if i use the brake or a good shot of throttle the back end defintley wants to come around and say hi!!! so all in all i i didnt find a huge positive in turning the track around. i was told by people to switch it out and buy a new different one. well hope that helps ya! as for cutting ur lugs on the track???? my concern would be that you would lost too much of your lug and would effect the ride of the sled as in the lug wouldnt not be long enough and you would loose traction and would get stck easier??? i dont know for sure thats just what i was thinking

A budy of mine fliped his on his apex worked a lot better and I herd it helps on the nytro but if you are going to do the work to flip it just change it out with a challenger extreme off a cat, you can find them for 400 bucks.

Attac track is junk........challenger extreme is not a factory takeoff and if you can buy one for 400 bucks ......buy two cause thats a deal on the best all around track made right now in my opinion. If your just ditch banging you might be ok just trimming the paddles, will definatly stiffin it up.....Keep us posted!

I took the maverick track off my nitro mtx and put a challenger on it. I ride this one in the ditches and i was going through sliders like crazy the challenger throughs more snow and hooks up awesome. Attac 20 isnt a garbage track, its made for powder and when the snow is so deep you cant walk in it thats when it shines. Revelstke powder is where i use it. I ride with 3 pump m8s in the mountains and one has a attac 20 on it the others are using the challenger and other types The spring is when the challeger works best in the powder there is no comparison to the attac. Echo cycle sold me a used challenger for my nitro 400 bucks

Well it seems to work alot better. It only took about an hour to do and the track is alot stiffer.Went out for a ride around home and it was hooking up in what little snow we have.As for the deep stuff we will see but did pick up 3km,s top speed, so maybe that will help. Now if we can just keep the cops off of us it will be great. By the way just so everybody in strathcona county knows the fine for crossing the road is 230 bucks. And the cops have on sense of humor.
