as the title I'm looking to buy or build a redneck toy hauler
I'm think about a 24 foot goose neck or 5th wheel
and put on a trcuk camper with a bathroom so either 10 - 12 feet
this will leave me about 12 deck ...

anyone have any experience doing this ? or any thoughts on how to do ?

I had considered buying an old 5th wheel holiday trailer and stripping it down at one time. Not enough time these days to do it justice.

yes I have been thinking about taking my old trailer apart and building a sled trailer,my old holiday trailer is a 5th wheel and 28.5 feet interior length, I need to decide this spring if im going to do it or sell it as is, so if you build one please post where you purchased materials and if it is worth the work

I built one a few years ago with a 20' bumper tow flat deck, used it for 3 seasons.
Worked great , but would have been better if it was a gooseneck.
The camper was a 10.5', so left me with a nice 9.5' patio.
I even rigged up a redneck awning. And we would put the BBQ and table on the patio. Also worked great to strip down of the dirty cloths before going in the camper.
I wanted to setup some storage on the sides but never got around to it.
I sold the unit all setup the way I had it.

I like what brutematt750 has , but only want it on a 5th wheel trailer ..
also camper must have bathroom / shower...

brutematt750 , do you take your camper off ? , are the jacks wide enough ?

The camper has a chitter and shower.
I did take it off a few times. dually jacks would have worked great, but I didn't want to buy them. So what I did was make some stands out of wood.

I know a guy that did just as you are talking but he used a gooseneck car hauler. This gives a lower deck height which is handier for going in and out but also means that the deck is narrower as the wheels are on the outside rather than underneath. Depends on what you are planning to haul as to which way works better for you.

I have a set of dullay brackets, I'd sell....

May even have a (think it's a 1996) camper it's a 9' lite weight, has a shower and washroom......kept it for the kids to use, it only went out once last summer

Iron Hose Racing what you got for sale ??
as far as trailer yes , the lower deck would be nice ...
but it will depend on what is for sale , out there ...
as long as I have a bathroom with shower and a 12 foot deck ,
I can make it work ...
