They need a lot more than a two stroke engine. Those nytros have to be the ugliest sled out there and that exhaust pipe blowing in your face while digging them out is just stupid.

Id buy one for sure, but x2 on the ugly look to the nytro, would like a sleeker look to that chassis, but with a 2 stroke in er they could definitely thin it up a bit, but always liked the yammy 2 smokes in the day

X3 the nytro is one of the best looking sleds out there. Release date as far as I've heard is feb 19.

Why is it most dealers sell out of mountain sleds and have new 1-2 year old short track stock?

I'm sure Yamaha notices that.

Specially when their 4 stroke motors are suppose to last near 10,000 miles plus.

Their short track sleds I've heard are no good either. Lots if guys bought them believing the hype and they are heavy and fatiguing and moved to a e tec or 4 tec

I heard Doo was feeling so bad they tried their darnedest to make the XM plastic and shape the same as a Nytro. Stand on each and look down the hood, awful similar short blunt nose, fat cheeks, I think they both look cool.

four strokes are the future.

they dont need a two stroke sled.

Must be a long ways into the future, until they design a lightweight twin cylinder supercharged 4 stroke from the factory that puts out 180+ hp and a lightweight chassis most people are going to stick with the mid 400lb 160hp 2 stroke!

Well a triple cylinder two stroke would fit easy in Nytro at 100 lbs lighter than current nytro! If so I'm in!!they know how to build triples for sure. They at least are not scared to try new things!

I think it would be tough to fit pipe/pipes for a triple 2 stroke in that chassis though. But I'm not a engineer.

A nice cross-plane crank in a 4 cylinder would be great, that should put it in the 180-200 HP non-turboed version.
Remember they have the best technology, but will they use it.

Yamaha is still the only Jap MX bike manufacturer to offer a 2 stroke MX bike. Its not like they have given up on 2 strokes all together.

Plus there 4 stroke slanted reward facing MX motor hasn't been considered a success at the track, I wouldn't be surprised to see them invest more into cleaner buring 2 strokes.

Maybe a new larger displacement V max 4, that would be cool.
