Actually came out and surprised the mountainsledding world with a 2 stroke, lightweight, emission meeting, dependable, POWERFUL machine....

Would you buy one?

What do you think it would be like?

Would Yama eat CROW?

Randy, chime in.... We all know you have some intel that you are dying to tell us...:d

Let's keep this on topic too.

Hey... If they can gain sales to the mountain segment, and still keep their mountain mod guys happy, and I am sure some flatlanders would LOVE a 2 stroke...

Why not?

Today's 2 smokers are pretty clean...

not saying I wouldn't buy one for sure. It'd be like dropping the perfect engine to try something new? Not good business sense unless the r&d has been done but randy wont tell us.......

Guessing a factory turbo on a new skid with Yamaha race team input on the front ends.

Why would Yamaha go backward and team up with Cat. Maybe they will sell them belts on exchange for the SRX120.
They make a good product, but now it's time for a great product. They have the technology for 2-stroke or 4-stroke. What ever ther come out with, I hope it kicks butt.

Ready for my 8th yamaha sled but if it comes out with another maverick track going to do a burnout on the highway and bolt some old plastic paddles to it I still have stored away from my exciter. Good with 2 or 4 stroke if it is competitive out of the box this time

Yamaha has always had reliable engines, over 10,000km on my old Kodiak, 9000km on the Grizz, buddies old SRX was abused for over 6000km on the original top end and still going strong.

If they could build a sled (2 or 4 stroke) that felt as light and handled like my '12 RMK I'd jump ship in a second. Then again I'm tempted to try a Nytro just because of poor dealer satisfaction.

HPDI is what I think it was called by Yami and probably does not fall under the patent by BRP . 2smoke technology is petty good and I don't think Yami's 4sttokes are as clean as people think! And HP to weight does matter (try it with 160-175 hp max) so a light engine is what the Majority want. Cat can not make it w/o Suzuki buy yami would make the only replacement and might be the only option for a DI ??As for Yamaha they seem to be happy do do little with their own models so ??? Time will tell but the last two 2smoke builders at the top of the world was suz and yami but that was when it was still in style. Yami or suz are my top 2picks so :)

It would be cool to see them build a clean burning 2 stroke. We will have to wait though. Yamaha pays Fuji big bucks to keep his trap shut. Lol.

I think they should do an early release, if they have something new then now is the time to show the public. Get some sneak peaks out and get people excited.
If Yamaha is gonna get some sales, they better get a jump on everyone else. Don't wait too long as people might stick to their favorite brands. People don't jump ship if they're not excited.
Bring on the new sleds and people will snowcheck them.
