Is anybody using aftermarket scratchers? I'm looking at the Ski Z, Duraflex and Straightline Performance carbide scratchers. If I go with the Straightline they offer two lengths 12" and 16" the longer seems better. If anyone uses the Ski Z how inconvenient are they to put on and take off? How are they holding up?

not sure about rhe duraflex ones but ive had the straitline ones and they dont have enought down force wih the cable to work effectively. i have a set of Ice Storm scratchers now and they work awesome, they throw a lot of snow, not sure id want to follow me up a trail though

i have ice storm ski mounted scratchers on 3 of my sleds(174,163 and 146) and they do work very good. had all 3 sleds up on the hard trails last week and had no cooling issues on any sled, they also work very well to lube the sliders up front of the skid

Ice storm ones aren't too bad. I think they need more down pressure. I am really impressed with the skidoo t3 scratcher. Lots of down force. Best scratcher I have tried to date. About 85 bucks at your local skidoo dealer.

I put on the dura flex this season and they are doing a great job of keeping everything cool.Engine temp runs between 122and126 on the rmk.Nice thing is we usually forget to put them up before going in reverse and it doesn't hurt them

I just put a set of trail blizzers on my M and they seem to work very well. Similar to the duraflex in that you can reverse with them and won't damage them. Riverside in St. Albert sells em.
