From good to bad, to not as bad as I thought, to extremely worse than what I thought. I think the pics say enough.

The mag side crank seal went, causing the cylinder to run lean and eventually blow up. Noticed this at the cabin at Allan Creek. The ride back down to the truck on the remaining cylinder caused the first one to become obliterated as you can see. Looking at it now, I don't know if I blew the second cylinder, or if the connecting rod got jammed up, preventing the crank from turning anymore. Either way, its not good. Have to beg to the wife to see if she will let me fix it. God, I loved that sled...

Not that i'm an expert, but just for future ref and to spread the word a bit to try to help the next guy, and I know it's probably not a good time to say this now with a death in the family and all and I woudn't fault you for not knowing this:
Anyway, if you think a seal popped, check the plugs often. If you see bits of metal on the plug, stop and tow. Another hint a seal popped is the sled seams to run better than ever (new power), or idles high. These little high output engines only have a few minutes or less running lean like that.
