I have a garmin GPSmap 60CSx and its great. It has a color screen and a memory chip, so yes I guess, you can transfer data from one to another. I got mine at GPS Depot in Edmonton and they included a mapping program 100 times better than Garmin's, it shows everything, right down to cow paths, no kidding. And for a guy that sometimes just rides 'till it gets dark it's great, I can always find my way home.

I have 2 buddies that have the garmin 60csx and love it. Not positive if you can transfer from 1 gps to another ...but I would be surprised if you couldn't. The guys at Wholesale sports will be able to answer all your questions. I have a garmin for the car and love it. I had a magellan before the garmin and it wasn't as good...that was a while ago they may have improved. Garmin for me.

Where is GPS depot? Can't find it on google...

I just bought a eTrex VISTA HCx from GPSCentral in calgary. I got the RAM mount and 12 power cable. Gunna mount it to the sled for those night rides and white outs. I was considering the 60 but I like the smaller size of the Vista and I like where the buttons are on it. One thing that bothered me about my magellan is that buttons were on the bottom and screen on bop like the 60's, it was hard to hold and use with one hand. Of course if it is mounted, this may not matter.

I got the topo Canada map as well. The default map on them does not have enough detail.

Rhino or the Oregon are the best way to go. Same mapping capability as the 60 but smaller and nicer units, latest technology and can transfer data remotely with the Oregon.

Another vote for the Rino here, nice to have weather channels as well.
I love my rhino530 as well, mounts nicely to the sled with a ram mount IMG_1017.jpg
