Snow set up comes in a 100 different ways
With also adding in factors of
Ambient temp out side
Amosphic density at diff elevations
Different rider weights
These track speed numbers mean nothing.

U can have a higher track speed in a certain snow and also b going 5-10km slower
So who cares about track speed
It’s a joke!!!

The big names in the buisness are pretty biased aswell lol they say what there told to say, if u want real world reviews talk to people u see out and about buddy is on a trip with a buncha polaris boosts right now he the lone doo guy looking forward to gettin some input back on what he thinks. Polaris threw money at 75% of the top names in the sport. Buddy of mine was at grizzly lodge a few years back when bura ndt was there lets just say it was a rude awakening for him when he looked up to the guy.

no, it doesnt actually make 180hp. That is why. With the new 850R losing 16lbs they are very close in weight now too

So what you are saying is the sled you are riding now is a heave pig compared the the boost and ski doo had to drop a lot of weight to get it close but not under the boost weight
So for 2022 the best sled was the boost

Maybe that’s why your track speeds vary so much? And on the weekend I did have the fastest sled. My turbo pro is still faster than a 2021 skidoo turbo.

I think that’s why muskoka is so popular this year! Real unbiased Opinion of 2 of the best sleds paid for with his own money. I don’t get brand loyalty, only thing I ever married is my wife everything else is for sale. It’s ok to try different sleds, trucks, bikes or whatever your hobby is, accept the fact that manufactures leapfrog each other with technology. With my rant over pretty impressed to see a turbo in the crossover market!

You think Burandt, Turcotte, Adams ect.. are going to tell you their honest opinion? Not a chance. Lots of good information on this site but when it comes to which sled is better I wouldn't listen to anyone on here, everyone has a different perspective to what's the best. You have to decide what's best for you. I myself only ride in the mountains so power is at the top of my list, Doo and Poo make the same power now so it comes down to personal preferences. To me the NA isn't even an option when you have the factory turbo's and for the money I still want more power and reliability but my buddy I ride with loves his 850 matryx and he has ridden turbo Yamaha's forever. All the new sleds rock and its great to see polaris and skidoo pushing each other every year but if I was snow checking a 23 it would be a turbo 850 skidoo 165, I would just need a headlight delete and not for the weight savings lol

Now you can do the 900 and the twins for a few bucks more.

Ken, I doubt it. If Doo offered you a N/A sled with the same power as the turbo but it was going to be $2k less, way lighter, used less fuel and quicker to rev, I bet you would bite. The turbo is not the best tool in the tool box for tree riding. For meadow mashing maybe a fun beast at best. At this point I would only buy a turbo to hear the blow off valve and if it was about bragging rites it would have to be the most powerful 2 stroke production turbo, and that is not a Doo. Which is the only brand to claim 188 hp?

Polaris only claims percentages, they don’t claim HP numbers, they wait for bikeman to dyno them.
