I don't get why the white sunglasses wearin, gay rap music playin, douche in the truck had to pass anyway. (Plus he passed on the left shoulder) Traffic was at a crawl anyway, the van was probably just tryin to see ahead to see what the problem was in the right lane. The guy in the truck was almost as big of a moron having to pass on the left in a traffic jam on a freeway. If there was a lot of space in front of the van then maybe .....but when you can barely fit in front and have to pass anyway......almost as stupid as the van guy....almost, LOL.

I have to agree with you Capt. Both parties are at fault. Like you said traffic was backed up any way. How much did he gain by passing.

I'll put money on it he was sitting in the middle so the one lane would start moving (although I think I can see another truck in the right lane just ahead?). I saw a cop do this in Kelowna one time. The bridge traffic across the lake was always messed up with the old bridge. One lane would move, the other wouldn't. He drove down the center, no one would pass him and low and behold both lanes stated moving equally.

I did this once heading North on the QE2. Same thing. My lane was not moving at all (accident ahead). I pulled out of my lane and paired up with a big rig and stayed beside him (didn't drive the center of the road.) Got the thumbs up from three trucks total as they could see what I was up to. Probably pissed off the lane that was moving but our lane, the lane i was in started to move right away.
