I cant find my oil reservoir on teryx 2008

Right from the service manual

Oil Filter Replacement •Remove:
Engine Bottom Cover (see Engine Bottom Cover Installation
in the Frame chapter) •Drain the engine oil. •Remove the oil filter [A] with the oil filter wrench .
Special Tool - Oil Filter Wrench: 57001-1249
•Replace the filter with a new one. •When installing the oil filter, be careful of the following.
○Apply oil to the gasket [A] before installation.
○Tighten the filter with the oil filter wrench.
Special Tool - Oil Filter Wrench: 57001-1249
Torque - Oil Filter: 17.5 N·m (1.8 kgf·m, 13 ft·lb)
Pour in the specified type and amount of oil.


Amount: 2.1 L (2.2 US qt)
(When filter is not removed)
2.2 L (2.3 US qt)
(When filter is removed)
2.3 L (2.4 US qt)
(When engine is completely dry)

No where could I find anything about a dipstick

No where could I find anything about a dipstick

Been searching the repair manual and it say to add the oil but does not show where. I would guess on the side of the engine near the bottom but that would be a complete guess!! Will keep searching the manual untill work is done, I mean while sitting at home, thats it!!

Okay, the oil check and fill tube is on the side of the engine right behind the black plastic round plate that says Kawasaki on it. Doesn't really say which side of the engine and I can't get the picture to save or paste but it is on section 7 page 13 of the online service manual. If that is any help at all.

Looks like the left side of the engine, don't know which way they may be facing though.

I'm no doctor, nor do I ever really look at kawasawki's or have a clue about the required maintenence of a side by side. But if you can't find the resivoir i would be inclined to think all the oil it needs is held in the case. I might be totally wrong. that's just what my ligic gives me.
