Bigdoo and I have been running it for three years and no problem but lots of snap bigdoo has the big bore kit and mixes it with VP fuel.
We both have 800 Revs 06 & 07 he has 163x3" mine is 162x21/2"

ok, so i have yet to run a tank through my 800 rev, but i was by the previous owner to run a mix of av gas and 91 octane to achieve a end octane of around 94. (high compression head) can i just run the chrevron 94 then?

if you go to your local lawn mower shop and ask for a b&S (briggs and straton)....ethonal tester....I had one years ago....from school. you can actually test to see how much ethonal is in the gas! it was about $30-40 back 10 years ago. I have lost mine but I just stay away from husky and mohawk......but Im going to look in to if chevron NOW has elthonal in it. I know 100ll has none!

yes, 100ll should have no ethanol, but it is hard to get out side of small airports, and if you don't need that high of octane, mixing may be a little cheaper. mixing can be a real pain if not mixed right.

anyone know how to syphon from a jet on the runway?

Call Brandon Petro. In Edmonton they sell 100LL, that's where I get mine from. I think the only bad thing about it is they will only sell it by the drum. Not do bad for us because 3 of us split it.

Its ok to run in most things but dont use it in any high compression or two stroke application. I have buddies that use it in high boost car applications but they are tuned for the 94 octane so the ethanol doesnt bother them, I will not run it in my high boost audi because I'm not tuned for the 94 and ethanol is actually corrosive to certain components. It also doesnt burn as hot as regular gas for two stroke apps.

Either run 91 and mix or straigh av gas.

Av gas (100LL) is a dry fuel.....it doesnt have the additives that say VP has. I used to run it all the time and in the long run it make the rings very sharp lol. but in todays engine they never last long enough to worry about it lol......I used to make my own fuel when I was running 25 PSI in my Buick Grand National......there is a formula on a web page..."how to make "rocket" fuel......I was making 110 ish oct....with some paint thinners and a little ATF and desiel......it is the formula for 104 oct boost you buy....chevron also uses this to up there octain! alot cheeper than buying VP but more money than 100LL. I had a Knock Gauge in the car and my home made fuel ran with zero knock at 25 PSI with my water injection off! I dont really need to build this high octain fuel for my apex since 100LL works great at 14 PSI! I used to always put in 100 ml of two stroke oil to every 5 gallons to add a little lubercant......I could go one for ever about building a fuel but just run the 100LL straight!

just stay away from the ethonal

I've run Husky 94 in all my sleds and never had an engine failure due to it. And also all fuel coming into Canada has ethanol in it. It doesnt matter if its chevron, esso shell they all have it.

I ran chevron 94 for one season and cooked the motor.... I was told by the dealer to stay away from 94 and stick to 91 :confused:

So what flavor is the best to run??

never heard of a better fuel hurting an engine! but ethonal in 94 yes! bad fuel causes detonation....what does good fuel cause? ethonal causes lean!

The Esso refinery in edmonton does not add ethanol to the fuel.

.......
I dont touch it becouse of the ethanol.....

ethanol will void HD warrenty! I has cooked a few of my engine (that were not fuel injected and running big power) ethonal runs leaner and hotter. polaris has the wire that you jump to run ethonal but if you ask high up....... they say do not run ethonal!

just flat out stay away from it.....an once of pervention .....is worth a pound of cure! run cheveron 94 if you need the 94!

in bc. chevron 94 is trucked in. doent come down the pipeline. hence the low sulfur. i stay with chevron to.
