Well no draws for me this year, but my son has muley buck and doe...( little bugger.. he's 13..) so nothing but deer this year.

So leaving Tues morn for 7days settin up a 3 wall tents.. good old huntin camp. Hopin to fill the freezer with some tasty venison, spend some time with family and a buddy or 2, and spend sme time outdoors.

Maybe ... even rattle in a nice bush buck...maybe. So good luck all, on your up and coming hunts, and I'll try and update you all when I get back, hunt safe everyone.:)

Got this elk Sept 17 near Spirit River, opening day of rifle season. Was packing the bow, but was running out of daylight. Bugled this one in, had two other's answering. The lead bull and this one with another satellite bull. Had to make the 100 yard dash to get to where he was coming out.
Pic is of my hunting partner, my 13 year old daughter, she wants so bad to get a deer this fall with her bow.

Not too far past the Moonshine Lake turnoff. Go there every year, hit and miss. Try togo during bow season, but this year they weren't answering.

We looked at a mess of bucks over 4 days of hiking coullees. Some we turned down would have scored better than this old warrior but none had the weight, character, and massive width. Nursepwdr shot this buck on friday. Backcountry will make some good pepperoni out of this old boy.
