boat might have shut off and lost steering, probably well over 100MPH since it has a turbine engine. that heli will pull it to water easily. The bottom probably has steel protection on it since its from NZ. just another day on the river down there lol

likely easy enough, could also have used a come-along and 3 or so steel pegs. but looks like someone has $$$$ for a chopper.
Problem is that helicopters not one capable of lifting the boat, or dragging it. Helicopters are not good at dragging stuff, and it isn't like they showed up with a helicopter capable of lifting much. Had they arrived with an Airbus 175 that would have been a very easy lift, probably a doable lift with a 145, but that bell would be damn lucky to lift half of that boat even if you were to cut it in half.

Maybe he just flew in more guys to push it back to the water or had beer delivered.

no idea on helicopter, seen a few trucks pulled out of mud with a 3 bar daisy chain pulled with a winch, a come-along may do it? no idea, have absolutely no interest in being in a boat of any kind.
