I sympathize, I hate camping. I was meek enough to put up with it though when I was a kid.

LOL now that's a funny ad!!
Gotta say I camped in a tent once in awhile as a kid but for the most part it was in a motorhome. As soon as I could drive it was under the topper on my p/u truck - no more tents. Camped one night in a tent a couple months ago - more passed out in it I suppose but when I woke up I was saying f-this!!

My thoughts on tents are similar... my neighbours just left on a 2 week tenting trip while their shiny new travel trailer is sitting in the driveway. (Getting back to nature) They all seemed totally stoked that they were going to have no air conditioning and ants crawling all over there face while sleeping .....enjoy

There's a fine line. Truck tenting is a PITA it takes so long to pack up and unpack and if it rains things are miserable but I also see so many families drag out there 35+ foot 5th wheel and the only time you see them outside is to fire up the generator in the morning so they can watch satellite TV or movies all day.

That's hillarious dude. Been there, done that. I think that's part of what makes camping fun - the thought of "hey remember the days when we camped in this with only this?" I'm sure we've all done it.

Kids are too spoiled nowadays, if I had my way they would be sleeping under a tarp and having to **** in the bush leaning against a log and using leaves as toilet paper like I did when I was a kid. Using the same spoon, fork and plate to cook, eat, prepare meals with, washing everything in the river, creek or lake.

The only reason I don't force this on them is because I have become too accustomed to my campers that I don't want to show them how this is done. Plus I wouldn't be able to contain myself watching them through the window playing X's & O's in the dirt with twigs and rocks.
