Last month one morning our bus came to pick me up and when backing up the front driver side tire came off. "SHE" didn't know what to do... So luckly it was in front of my place so i fired up my truck and went to school... Anyways... I came back after school and our bus was still there on a jack... Other buses came and tried passing by and well... 1 bus got stuck... So they called in another bus to pull it out and that bus got stuck... Then another bus came to pull the bus that was pulling the initial bus that got stuck... UM HERES THE PICS.

I've always thought it was odd to load a bus with children, and get someone that often times has very little to no commercial driving experience to drive...

front driver's side WHEEL came off, not just the tire. looks like the wheel bearing went....an experienced driver should have felt it as the bus surely would have been pulling to one side when the bearing went. it was gone long before the wheel fell off.

wonder who did the safety on that
do buses require a CVIP more than once a year? at any rate, the driver should have noticed on his/her daily pre trip inspection, wheel would have been tipped in at the top.

You would think they would??? But I do put 5000k a month on my company p/up & have NEVER seen a school bus pulled over by D.O.T. Let alone.... I have never seen a bus barn for yellow buses either
