I dropped my ranger 800 off today , left a note to
- change oil & filter
- lube
- check other fluids
- reset hour meter
- said the shift was a little stiff

they changed oil filter, oil , all fliuids ...
bill $320 .00 , seems a little high ???
what does everyone think was it high ... ?
how many people do their own oil changes ? repairs ?

Don't forget the disposal charges for oil and filters. Then there's the labor. Plus markup on all new fluids and parts for these guys to make a living and continue to try and serve each and every individual the best they can. I'd seperate with $320 at my buddies shop anyday

When a new car dealer can do an oil change for under $50 (or a lot less) and using twice the amount of oil it doesn't make it easy paying $300 for a "service" on my quad. Granted they change more then just engine oil but no way should it be that high. First service while it's under warranty is a good idea even though they rape ya, but after that I do all my work.

We would charge about $250.00 for a service like that. All oils changed, grease, coolant level check, filter check/clean, throttle cable adjustment, tire pressure checked, brake pads/wheel bearings/tie rods checked. Look over entire unit for any bent, broken, loose items.
