Boating season

Ah yes, the bikini. Nature's reminder that yes; summer isn't all bad.

If the guy who came up with the bikini was alive, I would buy him a beer.

I have try fuel stabilizer what pain when try to start it in fall must of pull12 times never again so now I run low on fuel and then then start it couple
times threw the summer but it is park inside.I also like take weight off the
springs by blocking the rear of sled. While it nice warm it time to wax hood
and grease the joints squeeze water out. Then time to plan any up grades.
Just my way of doing things:cool:

Graham your not done yet are you?

Ok, I filled tank to the top added fuel stabilizer, run the engine untill it get's warm, shut it down. Lift up so suspension is hanging, drain air out of shocks, loosen track, remove belt, grease, and wash up real good and wax, then cover it. Start it once a month.

But.... I have a couple more rides still.:)

Well you could do like many do, sell it and buy a new one come next October.:d:d

No but a good tarp over and full tank of gas with plenty of oil in your cylinder and over piston and carb if your has some . Plus a good wash before and grease job too and you may removed your seat so no one start to used it has a matress. Cat love to sleep on sled during the summer months. I have fund that since I removed my seat it stay soft and doesn't crack in the winter , because of drying during thos summer months.

Well that does it for me

What is this "summer" you all keep speaking of?

:D

Heck if I know! I don't do a thing to mine; the best thing to do is ride till June then just fire it up every 2-3 weeks and run it around the yard then it's ready to go in November.

I just start them once a month and bring them up to operating temp while laying under the exhaust, if I need more I'll run the garden hose on the heat exchanger for a while.

I do more than maybe a few guys do, but it keeps 'em running.

2 stroke: grease, change all fluids, run every couple weeks up to full temperature. Full tank of fuel treated with Stabil.

4 stroke: oil change, grease, full tank of treated fuel, leave on battery tender

either: pull skid, check all bearings (or just change them every season if you ride lots of miles - it's cheap!), check runners, full cleaning. Use mothballs in belly pan, running boards etc to keep mice off them. Cover to keep dust off. Clean clutches. remove belts over summer. Get most of the pine sap, needles, branches out of sled, pack, clothes, etc. LOL. Release track tension.
