How do you know if your snowmobile club includes membership in the BCSF?

The fee the clubs pays to the BCSF for a member is around 36.00 so that seems low at 25. If you have already purchased a membership that included a BCSF membership (which is any affiliated club in the province) you should be exempt from paying the BCSF fee and only be charged the clubs portion. Hope this helps a bit and thank you for becoming a member in different clubs. Membership is something that is so important yet often overlooked....its crucial to the success of clubs in BC and our access to our public lands.

What is a non-rider membership? I have never seen a club offer one because why would a non-rider want to join a snowmobile club.

Several clubs have non-rider memberships just to have numbers and a few more people hanging out at events. I have had buddies buy their wives non-rider membership (offered quite a bit cheaper) and their wives don't ride.
I found a new type yesterday. An Associate member in the Hunter Range Snowmobile Club. I already belong to another club and they had the option of this type of membership without having to pay to the BCSF fee again. I don't know how many clubs have Associate members.

That's the way it should be done. I got tired of arguing with a local BCSF club about how to handle dual club memberships and they never did get it figured out. For years I bought a membership but never showed up on the members list. When the BCSF went to Silkstart it got even worse. About time somebody figured this out.

When I would buy both Revy and Sicamous memberships I would buy one then the other One would drop the BCSF portion but the wouldn’t. I cannot recall who would honour the BCSF portion but I know one year I did it backwards and had to pay both and then I got double the BCSF literature and emails. lol
I stopped buying both a few years ago as I wasn’t visiting Sicamous as much. I know it’s been brought up on here before as you weren’t supposed to charged for BCSF more than once but the disconnect between clubs and poor communication led to too much confusion.
I have seen non rider memberships for a long time. Maybe because Revy has done it for awhile.
Non rider memberships from what I have seen have been for children riding as a passenger and sometimes sled skiers who are riding tandem.
