How do I pull my fuel guage

How do I pull the fuel gauge? It is broken and I should be able to fix it but knee to pull it apart

What model of sled? On my 08 m1000 it is simple pryed out of a rubber gromet.

yep a 2008 m1000 as well......

Remove fuel cap, stick hand into hole, grab gas gauge mechanism, lift, twist and wiggle hand while firmly squeezing gauge mechanism. Best to not have full tank of fuel. Plan on repeating procedure every couple of years.
