How busy have the hills been this year

So with sleds selling fast and for good $ and very few left in the dealerships.
Have the hills been busier than normal or are people just buying sleds and not using them.

I thought everyone gave up sledding. We never see anyone. But for some reason we do see more trucks in the parking lot. Not sure where they ride though?? Maybe they are just out walking the dog?

In my opinion its stupid out there. Getting worse every year. We are in dire need of more riding areas opened up to spread people out. No one works during the week anymore. Lol

Been out a few times.
Weekends are busy. You want to be on the hill early. Parking lots fill up fast.
Mid week riding the parking lots have a few vehicles but don't see a whole lot up top. Seems everyone has their own little honey holes they all head for.

One thing I have noticed, more folks on Alberta Sledderz asking about riding trails in BC where there is no Avy risk.

I've tried explaining to some, just because its a trail doesn't mean you are safe from a slide.

Mostly I think that falls on def ears.
Even had one guy reply back if he likes it. Maybe he'll get a beacon, shovel and probes for next trip.

Then later he sent me some pictures of his wife sitting on their touring sled infront of the cabin at Renshaw.

No safety gear.

Yep watched 2 guys swapping marks at Mega bowl in Quartz last week. Pair of snow boarders with no backpacks. Those big faces are loaded right up and have slid partially twice in the last 2 weeks. Boggles the mind.

Sometimes its better to let nature take its course. Lots of stories over the years on this forum where peeps have tried to explain to the uninformed and get told to fawk off and mind their own business.

I was thinking that with all the new sledders out there, we would hear about more problems in the back country.
It doesn't seem like there have been more incidents out there which is a good thing.

There is many areas no one rides. You may need to hire a guide to find them though. I might know a guy...

It was quiet in my area until after the holidays, since then it's been very busy.
Lots of camping in the parking lot too.
