Either would do....

Of course you would.......Which makes me that much more comfortable with my choices

Yup, end of the world for sure, nothing a Liberal or NDP likes to see more than thousands out of work and children starving............Idiot.:rolleyes:

99.99999% of unemployed people currently in alberta are unemployed because they don't want to work. There might be a HANDFUL of people in the whole province who have a legitimate reason to be unemployed. There hasn't been a job shortage in a LONG time. If you don't want to work, then you can starve and live in the dahm street for all I fawking care. Be a cold day in hell before I pay a stupid amount of taxes for someone else to sit on their a$$ and not work. Or pay a ton of taxes so others barely work and the government pays the rest for them to live.

This current government gives WAY to much to undeserving people already through BS programs. How many people know people on BS like AISH who CAN work but don't want to? Or the many other programs people can abuse because they are handed out like nothing.

Ya NDP and liberal are awesome. I only wish liberal would come back to power and absolutely destroy albertas economy overnight like the federal party did in the 80's......

Do all socialist/communists have their heads up their ass or just you? Thanks to Ralph Klein, Alberta had $0 in debt.

Look at alberta's debt compared to Quebec or Saskatchewan's debt from now compared to their NDP days.
Socialist/ Commmunist??? 0$ debt? You may be the one with the asshat. All he did was put off needed infrastructure projects and throw that money on the debt. That work is way more expensive to do now than it would have been back then. A good deal of our health care problems stem from Ralphs cuts, Nurses layoffs. Education issues: Ralphs cuts.
Horse race shortfall, oh wait there wasn't a shortfall at the racetrack because Ralph gave them $25 million a year. Our power rates (pretty much the highest in the country), Ralph deregulation. Our present deficit Ralph's stupid flat tax, pretty much the only flat tax in the developed world (except for one or two southern states). Yeah, Ralph was a hero, at least when confronting a mentally ill person at a homeless shelter.........Or the raging grannies.

Quebec doesn't have the oil windfall that we are lucky enough to have, Saskatchewan is just starting to develop theirs.
I knew there was a reason you have been on my ignore list for the last year or so..you and your brother Cyle............What, No mention of the NEP?

How critical is debt when interest rates are at 1%?

If you have debt now, when things are good wtf are you going to do if things take a turn for the worse? Right now the gov't should be stashing away for a rainy day fund. No reason not to. What do you need to go in debt for? Yes if things are slow, build up infrastructure, etc to create jobs and get it done for cheaper. But spending more on healthcare is downright stupid. We spend WAY to much on healthcare already. Healthcare should be cut like crazy, but in smart places. Make people pay for some of this BS they shouldn't be going to the doctor for in the first place. Make people pay part of the bill on most things. It would bring in huge money. Getting rid of alberta health care costs were good, but make people who use it pay for it, even just a bit.

I will say ralph let infrastructure go, that was a downfall of his.

You actually think NEP was a good thing? Hell your probably the only person in all of alberta who thinks that......

I guess the media trying to sway the rest of the province to vote wildrose didn't work.....

as a non voter, due to not being an Albertan at this time in my life, that's a "Great post!" My thoughts exactly.

Also, with the "so called violence" in the NHL play-offs, staying out of the back-country when the avalanche rating is "HIGH", the gun registry, etc..

The sensationalism in the media is to a point of being ridiculous and it is all on their agenda.

Just to stay on topic, I am glad the Wildrose did not get in as you fine neighbours would of had a fiasco. Alberta politics are/were not the same as Saskatchewan politics and to compare what happened with a changing of the guard in that province is not the same. Saskatchewan is more like Alberta now; more in tune with free enterprise.
