No oil comes out.

I'm about to do this shortly, looking for a little clarification... Some people say the stub shaft will come out with a slide hammer others say to loosen the 2 bolts in the case? I really don't like the idea of loosening the case bolts if I don't have to!
Do they need to be loosened?

Also I know this is on older thread but you can get the bearings from Yamaha, just look up the parts on a 2012+ nytro they are listed.

Hey there. You do indeed need to loosen the two case bolts on each side of the bearing as they create a clamping load when torqued to spec. It’s not really a worry for sealing or anything like that. You’re just relieving internal stresses Between the case and bearing.
