Just checked the bcwildfire website and as of 9pm last night they had updated the info on the binta lake fire and are saying that it has now grown to cover 35,000 hectares. They are classifying this as a RANK 5/6 fire, so they cant have crew's in working on alot of the fire due the extreme fire behavior and danger to the guys.

I think the smoke that's leaving edmonton is filling in the quapelle valley. It's getting thicker and thicker as the day goes on

The binta fire they say is now at a rank3 fire activity which is good cause it should be easier to hopefully get abit of a handle on it maybe. I notice that it isn't quite as smokey here in mcbride this afternoon. I can actually kinda makeout the ridge lines of the mtn's that are right here.

i heard that 911 was getting flooded with calls about the smoke in the air. people thought that with that much smoke, the fires must be close, so they called 911!!!!!!!! friggin tards, do they not read the paper, have internet, listen to a radio or watch TV!!!!!!!!!!! seriously WTF, it was everywhere why there was all the smoke in the air!
