Hobo is not managed so there are a few whooped out trails heading in different locations and there are some big open creeks in there still. You are better off to go to Silent Pass where there is grooming and lots more people around in case anything goes bad. There are some really bad terrain traps too if you are not familiar with the mountain.

I was up there a couple of weekends ago. trail is not maintained and if its low snow its tough getting up through the trees into the alpine. once there it is a cool spot. there is a sign I believe 14km or so past the booth.

Hobo staging is at KM 7 on “Main FSR” Unmaintained trail into a small treeline area. You don’t hit probably more than 6500-7000’ in there so I would imagine it’s thin based off other zones nearby. Also it isn’t worth the ride if your not the first group in after a storm, super small area that 3-4 sleds would track up in a short amount of time. Secondly if the trail isn’t obvious after a big dump you likely would find your way in.
